Influenza Vaccinations

We are now vaccinating against influenza at Morgan’s Medical Hall!

We have been providing influenza vaccines to the public each flu season for over a decade now, and so have built up a lot of experience and expertise.

ONLINE BOOKING FOR INFLUENZA VACCINE:

There are two appointment types available:

• Patients aged between 18 – 64 years old. – The Quadrivalent Influenza Vaccine is the recommended preparation, which is given as an injection into the shoulder muscle.

• Patients aged between 2 – 17 years old. – The LAIV (Live Attenuated trivalent Influenza vaccine) is the most commonly used in this age group and is available as a nasal spray formulation.

Booking an influenza vaccination with us is a simple 3-step process:

STEP 1 – INFORMATION. Please read the influenza and influenza vaccination information provided on this website. (See the health information section). Further information can be found on the HSE website here.

STEP 2 – BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT. If you have informed yourself about any risks and benefits of the influenza vaccination and wish to proceed, please click HERE to check available times and book an appointment.

STEP 3 – INFORMED CONSENT AND MEDICAL DETAILS. Once you have completed the online booking, we will send you a confirmation email. This email will include a link to our Medical Information and consent form. This should take no more than 5 minutes to complete.

We will need this information in order to ensure that the influenza vaccine is suitable for you or your child, and that you receive the appropriate vaccine product at the the correct dose. We will also need this information to register the vaccination with the HSE and to determine whether there will be any charge involved.

Having this form filled out in advance will help to make the vaccination appointment more straightforward and efficient.

NOTE – IF YOU ARE RECEIVING AN INJECTION FORM OF THE VACCINE, PLEASE REMEMBER TO WEAR LOOSE CLOTHING THAT ALLOWS FOR EASY ACCESS TO THE SHOULDER (DELTOID) MUSCLE.
